The Enterprise Blockchain 2021 EB Awards Winners and Finalists

The online ceremony of the 3rd edition of Enterprise Blockchain Awards (EB Awards) 2021 was concluded this past month on November 16, 2021. The prestigious EB Awards recognizes leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and service providers, leaving an unprecedented mark on global enterprise blockchain transformation.

The Virtual gala was sponsored by Blockchain Technology Partners, FedEx, and “Prophecy DeFi” – a Canadian investment firm focused on decentralized finance. The event was hosted by “Angie Lau” – a prominent journalist, speaker, founder, and editor-in-chief of Forkast.News

This year, 31 finalists were selected under 10 award categories: Blockchain Frontier Award, Blockchain Leadership Awards in Public Leadership, Corporate Leadership & Entrepreneurial Leadership, Enterprise Transformation Awards in Organizational Transformation & Ecosystem Transformation, Blockchain Services Awards in Infrastructure & Tools & Middleware, Blockchain Entrepreneurship Awards in Industry Applications & Provenance & Sustainability.

Here is the complete list of all the finalists and winners of the 2021 EB (Enterprise Blockchain) awards:

Blockchain Frontier Award – 2021 EB Awards

Blockchain Frontier Award is an individual award given to a person who has greatly influenced blockchain research and education. The “Blockchain Frontier Award” at 2021 EB Awards is won by “Dr. Wendy Charles“. She currently works as Chief Scientific Officer for “BurstIQ”, a blockchain healthcare company, where she leads the Life Sciences division.

The two other finalist nominated in this award category were “Damian Straszak“, Senior Developer at Aleph Zero Foundation and “Phantom Seokgu Yun“, Founder and CEO at Sovereign Wallet Network & Project Lead at MetaMUI.


Blockchain Leadership Awards – 2021 EB Awards

Blockchain Leadership Award honor people who spearheaded blockchain initiatives within a public, corporate or Entrepreneurial ecosystem. The “Blockchain Public Leadership Award 2021 is won by “Elizabeth M. Tanner”, Esq., Director, Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation. She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a B.A. in Political Science and received her Juris Doctor from Western New England University. She was then appointed the Director of Department of Business Regulation at State of RI in November 2017. The other two finalists nominated in this award category were: Amélie Arras, Marketing Director at Zumo and Sandeep Nailwal, Co-founder and COO at Polygon (Previously Matic Network).

The “Blockchain Corporate Leadership Award 2021″ is won by Dr. Andreas Dittrich, Head of Blockchain Solutions Center, T-Systems MMS, Deutsche Telekom AG. Under Dr Andreas Dittrich, T-Systems MMS actively supported (with infrastructure) 3 public blockchain networks: Chainlink, Flow and Celo. The other two finalists nominated in this award category were: Billy Sebell, Head of Ecosystem Development at XinFin and Ícaro Avelar, Lawyer Specialist in Blockchain at “Smart Contracts and Cryptocurrencies”.

The “Blockchain Entrepreneurial Leadership Award 2021″ is won by Ken Ebert, CTO at Indicio.tech. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Brigham Young University. As the CTO at Indicio, he currently leads a team of architects, developers, and senior leaders, actively leading the decentralized identity community. The other two finalists nominated in this award category were: Chakradhar Kommera, CTO at RubiX Network and Frank Ricotta, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at BurstIQ.

Enterprise Transformation Awards – 2021 EB Awards

The “Enterprise Transformation Award” category recognizes companies, government agencies, or NGOs using blockchain technologies to transform themselves and their industry ecosystem. “TOKO Limited” won the Organizational Transformation Award at EB Awards 2021. The other two nominees were “Allianz Technology SE” and “T-Systems MMS, Deutsche Telekom AG“.

Shinhan Bank” won the Ecosystem Transformation Award at EB Awards 2021 over the likes of “Ernst & Young + Others” and Chinese multinational technology conglomerate holding company – “Tencent“.


Blockchain Services Awards – 2021 EB Awards

The “Blockchain services awards” celebrate providers of blockchain technologies and services. At the 2021 EB Awards Tata Consultancy Services and Champ Titles won the award in “infrastructure” and “Tools & Middleware” category, respectively.

Quartz, The Smart Ledgers (Distributed Ledger Technology | Blockchain Solutions), is a startup incubated by TCS – a global leader in IT services, consulting & business solutions. CHAMPtitles, on the other hand, is a startup out of Cleveland, Ohio Which was launched in March 2019. The Startup wants to digitize vehicle titles using blockchain technology and end the reliance on legacy systems to manage U.S. automobile titles.

The other two nominees of Blockchain services awards in “Infrastructure” category were: BurstIQ – a Denver, CO based leading provider of blockchain-enabled data network solutions for the healthcare industry and Zuellig Pharma – a Singapore based healthcare services group.

In the “Tools and Middleware” category, the other two nominees were: “Indicio & SITA” and “Morpheus.Network“. Indicio is the world’s leading provider of decentralized identity development and hosting solutions and SITA is the leading provider of IT to the air transport industry. The partnership was recognized for their work on the “Aruba Secure Health Card”. On the other hand Morpheus.Network, a supply chain SAAS Middleware platform, is recognized for blockchain technology use to create a transparent, and efficient platform to streamline and automate the global supply chain.


Blockchain Entrepreneurship Awards – 2021 EB Awards

The “Blockchain Entrepreneurship Award” recognizes exceptional start-up companies or technology projects, delivering innovative blockchain applications, protocols, or platforms. “Astrella by AST Private Company Solutions” won the award in the “Industry Applications” category. Other two nominees in this category were: BurstIQ and Yieldly Finance.

In the “Provenance & Sustainability” category, aXedras AG won the prestigious award. aXedras is a DLT / blockchain-based infrastructure and application provider based out of Wollerau, Switzerland. The other three nominees in this category were: Blockforce, Data Gumbo and Sovereign Wallet Network.
