Blockchain NFT and Metaverse tracks at Pocket Gamer Connects Jordan 2022

Pocket Gamer Connects conferences are one of the biggest B2B platforms for the gaming industry, and continuing on with its 2022 series, the global mobile game conference is returning to the Arab nation of Jordan from November 12–13, 2022.

The PG Connects Jordan 2022 event will bring together the entire collective of global developers, investors, indie developers, and gaming publishers to the MENA region under one roof. The PG Connects conference is coming to Jordan for the second time ever, and the two-day in-person event will witness the confluence of key industry players and thought leaders.

The 2022 Jordan edition of PG Connects is expected to be attended by over 100 prominent speakers, 700 attendees, and top industry professionals, including 70% game makers and 50% c-level executives from around 30+ countries.

The venue for PG Connects Jordan 2022 is the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Centre, managed by Hilton and located on the eastern shores of the Dead Sea.

Pocket Gamer Connects is owned and promoted by UK-based Steel Media Ltd. and is considered to be the biggest mobile-dedicated games industry conference in Europe since 2014. Recently, it has added Blockchain, NFT, Web3, and metaverse-themed tracks to its conference schedule to explore the potential market for these cutting-edge technologies.

Focusing on the next wave of web3 games technology, PGC Jordan 2022 will host three dedicated tracks on Blockchain, NFTs, and Metaverse on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Middle East is a thriving gaming market, with an annual revenue of $1.78 billion in 2021 and over 375 million estimated players. It is one of the fastest-growing gaming markets, and according to a report by RedSeer, the MENA market is expected to be worth over $3 billion by 2025. The report also suggests that decentralized gaming based on blockchain technology and digital tokens will lead the way, with 1 in 5 players in MENA region already participating in P2E crypto games.

Building on Blockchain Track at PGC Jordan 2022

The “Building on Blockchain” track will kick off day two of PGC Jordan 2022 and is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. EEST. NFT Know-How is an insightful track on non-fungible tokens and the impact of these unique digital assets on the gaming community. The first session in this track, titled “From Indie GameDev to Metaverses & NFTs: The How & Why,” will feature Haetham Alhaddad, the game director at Bahraini Game Development Studio GoldenEagle.
