1st Annual European Metaverse Award Winners Announced 2022
The 1st annual European Metaverse Summit was recently organized at the BOLLE Festsäle event space in Berlin, Germany, and it debuted with the 1st European Metaverse Awards Gala in the evening. The award honours the most respected symbol of success in crypto, blockchain, and metaverse, and was attended by top executives from Europe, the US, UK, Japan, Korea, and Israel.
In its first edition, the European Metaverse Awards received over 100+ entries in 20 award categories, and the winners were selected by a combined vote of a 28-member VIP Jury and the event’s attendees via the Brella platform.
The award ceremony was part of the “European Metaverse Summit,” held on October 27, 2022, and was organized by CEE Business Media, Inc., a leading event organizer in Europe. Find a complete list of all the nominees and award winners at the electrifying award gala.
The summit was MC’ed by Thom Barnhardt (Founder of CEE Business Media, Inc.) and the opening keynote was delivered by Robert Guenther, Head of Reality Labs Developer Partnerships, Meta, Inc.
More than 35+ panellists then discussed a range of topics, from blockchain gaming to diverse Metaverse use-cases. Sebastien Borget, the Co-Founder and COO of the Sandbox, then gave a riveting keynote on metaverse brands and commercial success.

Top Debut in Metaverse – DEPT®
Amsterdam-based Global digital agency “DEPT®” won the “Top Debut in Metaverse” award category. In March 2022, Dept has announced the launch of its dedicated Metaverse Practice, including 100+ crypto and blockchain developers, games builders, 3D artists and AR experts.

Top European Metaverse Platform – Sulake
Sulake, the Finnish video game company known for publishing popular social games like Habbo and Hotel Hideaway, was awarded the “Top European Metaverse Platform.” Sulake is part of the dutch digital entertainment and media platform “Azerion”, and in April 2022, it announced a brand new metaverse-based Habbo hotel and Web3.0 server “Habbo X”.

Top Cloud, Enterprise, or Technology Partner AND Top B2B or Industrial Initiative – Hadean
London, UK, based cloud computing company “Hadean” bagged two awards at the European Metaverse Awards Gala in Berlin.
It won the “Top Cloud, Enterprise, or Technology Partner” award over other reputable nominees like Paris-based metaverse marketing agency “Bemersive”, Calgary-based cloud-streaming platform “PureWeb”, and Jena, Germany-based Enterprise Metaverse Solution provider “rooom.com.”
Haedean also won the “Top B2B or Industrial Initiative” award.

Most Innovative NFT project – DecentWorld
Swiss metaverse real estate platform “DecentWorld”, won the “Most Innovative NFT project” at the European Metaverse Summit 2022. The Zug, Switzerland, based platform creates a virtual copy of the real-estate assets in the real world, and allows members to purchase, trade, or stake these digital Street NFTs on the DecentWorld metaverse.

METAV.RS has been awarded as the “Most Exciting Early-Stage Company” at the European Metaverse Awards 2022. Headquartered in Paris, METAV.RS is a white label no-code platform that helps luxury brands and agencies to manage their Web3 assets, NFTs, e-commerce sites and virtual worlds.
The platform was incubated at Paris’ Station F by Korean metaverse giant, Naver, and recently opened offices in Hong Kong and Seoul. On October 3, 2022, the French start-up announced that it has raised €3M in seed funding round led by Singapore-based Web3 fund “Jsquare.”
