The first annual NFT.NYC NFT Awards was held on November 2, 2021 in the Edison Main Ballroom, an elegant private event space in the heart of Times Square, New York City. NFT.NYC Hosted the “NFT awards” ceremony in partnership with NFT.Kred, OpenSea, ClubRare and Topps NFTs.
WABC-TV’s broadcast journalist “Sade Baderinwa” hosted the First ever Annual NFT.NYC Awards. The award nominations saw an overwhelming response with over 3K nominations received for 30+ award categories. NFT.NYC 2021 “NFT Awards” Nominations were closed by Thursday, September 30th at 5 pm ET and the results were announced on November 2, 2021.
Since the first NFT.NYC event successfully gathered creators and projects across worldwide NFT community in 2019, it is considered as one of the biggest event for non-fungible tokens. After cancellation of the 2020 event, NFT.NYC 2021 kicked off on the “Ruby Red Steps” in Times Square, NYC on November the 2nd and created a lot of buzz.

NFTNYC 2021 Awards- Best NFT Artist Category
Mike Winkelmann aka Beeple ([email protected]) won the best NFT Artist award category in the first ever NFT.NYC awards. In 2021, Beeples NFTs, namely: Everydays: the first 5000 days, Human One, Crossroad and Ocean Front, made into the list of Top 20 most expensive NFTs ever sold.
Other nominees were 19 year old artist Victor Langlois aka FEWOCiOUS ([email protected]), Lima, Peru based Illustrator Nathaniel Rueda (Twitter-@_el_mute_) and Chicago based cryptoartist Josie Bellini ([email protected]).

NFTNYC 2021 Awards- Best Emerging NFT Artist Category
This was a community-nominated award category at NFTNYC 2021, which is awarded to an NFT artist for less than a year. This year 4 emerging digital artist were nominated for this award, namely: Nyla Hayes(Twitter-@NylaCollection), Kristina(Twitter-@KrisK_NFT), Yam Karkai(Twitter-@YKarkai) and Ed Dinzole(Twitter-@EDinzole).
Nyla Hayes of “Nyla Collection” won the award with a whooping 77.4% vote. Nyla is a12 year old NFT digital artist, who made history as as the first-ever Artist-in-Residence for “TIMEPieces”, TIME magazine’s web3 community initiative. She created the “Long Neckie art” at the age of 9 and in October 2021 sold her first “Long Neckie NFT Collection” for 960 ETH. (about $3.4 million at the time of sale).
Other Nominees: Yam Karkai is a freelance digital illustrator & the Founder & Artist of @worldofwomennft, Kristina is a digital artist popular as the Creator of Bull Market Girlfriends (@bullgirlfriends) NFT collectibles and Ed Dinzole is an American animator, illustrator & lead artist on multiple successful NFT campaigns.
